Here is another Melody Maker Add ,from 1977 please notice we were not charging on the door,,what a week of gigs Beer prices,Larger was 26p a pint ,Bitter 24p, spirits i drank to much that i cannot remember..
So that means we had to sell 80 pints just to pay the bands ther minum fee.
and then the Staff on a busy night we would have 10 behind the bar,
good old days,Hard up but Happy comes to mind,T.M

How did the gig go? I hope Dumpy plays there again so I can come and see the band!

By the way, Terry and the Bridge House just got a nice little mention on Jools Holland, from Depeche Mode Smiley

another melody maker advert, thanks to Baztac for sending it to me,
believe me the hardest part of the week, was fridays before 12pm,
when these adds had to be in for the following week,Thursdays,
if we had a pull out,the only problem was getting a band similar
to what is avertised other wise, the customers would walk out,T.M

High. Oggy.We signed The Guvnors,to a publishing contract with our joint company Martin and Coulter Music, and Phil Coulter took then in the studio, and recorded a few tracks,Phil Coulter was a prolific song writer ,who wrote hit song for Elvis Presley,Sandy Shaw,Cliff Richards AND MANY MORE,
I wanted to release the tracks ,but the companies leader Bill Martin said leave it to me i will get a Major deal with a big advance, this never happened and the tracks were never released, when we get round to releasing the singles,ONE OF THE BOYS,will be on there,
Sorry Oggy i thought i was giving you a mention but put Dagenham Dave down, Custom House verses Dagenham, both locals Ha Ha.Terry M
