RDB live at the Bridge 1979. Does anybody know a more accurate date? The background posters i believe are for Wasted Youth's Wildlife single.
I am also trying to confirm the lineup
Dave Edwards, Dennis Stratton, but were Steve Gough and Micky Harris back in the band at this time? Cheers

PeterI asked about "Rope the Moon" - Have been going to Bridgehouse 2 since just after it opened and was at teh January gig. - can confirm this is one of their usual numbers. Dave's vocals are always great and it goes down well with the crowd

Hi Baztac.yes you are right that is the line up,This line up opened my first night at the Bridge august 1975,and reformed 7 years later,to close the pub, this line up played till 1978 when the drummer and Bass player were replace by there management company,Dennis leaving to join Iron Maiden in 1979,so Dave continued playing for me in different line ups,The band re united in 1982 as a one off to close the Pub,,however like true pros they rehearsed and played a few gigs at the Bridge before the last night,it would have been on one of these nights the Video was shot,They got me up on stage on the last night,so i would have been in the video,if it had been the end.I Do hope to release this Video some time this year, when a documentary is being prepared, and we hope shown on T.V.Regards Terry M

Hi Perry, I'm interested on the DVDs. I visited GuitaristTv other day but I felt it a bit of mess as I would like to know all the DVD parts from the Life & Times of Dennis Stratton. Part 1. Iron Maiden Part 2. Lionheart Part 3. ?? Part 4. RDB 2007 Part 5. RDB 1979 I'm afraid I can't find part 3 anymore. Found some DVDs on the site but not all of them.

Part 3 was surely Praying Mantis was it not?
I unfortunately do not have parts 2 or 3.
The RDB dvd is actually from 1982 - Last night at the Bridge and not 1979

yes Perry ,The video was shot on the new Stage which we opened in 1980. The Band reformed in 1982 with the original line up,Dave Dennis Mick and Steve.to Close the Bridge house as we had known it,Remember they were the first band to play for me when i entered the Bridge in August 1975,,So they opened the bridge for me and closed it in August 1982. .7 great years ,not easy ,but a big part of my life, which i would never change,T.M

Well I bought the RDB Live at the Bridge 1982. Somewhat dark, but Very nice footage as its the earliest we'll manage to see from the band. Terry, I hope you release yours, someday. Mick De Jager didn't even have the work to separate the tracks, so it's an analogic film running inside a DVD.
I'll try and separate the tracks with Nero Vision. Thanks Baztac for the set list.
By the way, anyone here saw the Life & Times part 1? Is it all based on the 20th Century Box documentary?

Just my two pence worth here. During my Tush days I recall RDB as being kind of friendly rivals to us. They had the Bridge House residency and we had the Rochester Castle in Stoke Newington. So it was with great pleasure that another band I was in supported them sometime during the 1980's in a now forgotten East End pub. To be honest I'm not sure if they called themselves RDB at the time but it was certainly Dave Edwards and most likely Dennis Stratton too. My band was called "Moon Alexander Drive" and featured myself, Micky Tickton from Tush and Barry Eaves, formerly of the King Bees, on drums. What sticks in my mind most was Dave Edwards' version of "Stay With Me Baby". He delivered an incredible performance in my opinion, equaling just about any other version I've heard. Does any one know if Dave recorded the song and, if so, is it available anywhere?
Cheers, Tony.
