The snippet, is good,i was waiting for Dave to come in,but it was one of Dennis solo songs.
Daves Picture ,was it taken  while they were rehearsing,
so much gear on stage, seems there no room.

Who can tell me what happened to RDB in the early 80's.

The RDB lineup as I knew it was Dennis Stratton, Dave Edwards, Steve Goff and Mick Harris.

When the Live A Week At The Bridge Album was recorded the lineup changed to Dennis Stratton, Dave Edwards, Ron Berg and Gerry Cunningham.

Terry M said that the original guys got back together to play the final gig at the Bridge. I'd like to know what happened between the recording and that last gig.

Anyone know HuhHuh

Hi Colin, another great picture ,thanks,Dennis and Dave send there best regards to you,i was with them both on Friday,we recorded the DVD about there Bridge house Days, me and son Glen,on one settee, and Dave and Dennis on the other a great hour, time they edit it it will be a lot shorter, they filmed there gig in the evening, and they did a R.D.B set, so that will be good, Maidens road crew turned up to put there peice in.
Well from the time of the Bridge House album, they played on for another year, then Dennis Joined Maiden, And Dave formed Ramrod with Gerry Mc Avoy  ,Lou Martin, Stevie Smith,Rod De`ath
after a year Dave And Dennis formed United, with 2 guys from the Kinks, they use to rehearse in the cellar.
But it did not really work out they only  played a few gigs

I presented Dennis with a Live a week at the Bridge Vinyl album, because he had lost his one,he was telling me these albums are now worth £100.00, and i have only got 2 left so i will be keeping them.

That's alright. I'm glad knowing the cd contains everything from the LP and EP.

Terry, what is the duration of each DVD of DS Anthology? Can you scan a more large cover? I can barely see the informations...  Wink

Hi Lira, sorry i do not know the duration of the dvds, and the cover was sent electronicly,,so i can only zoom in the same as you can,as soon as i get some copies i will inform you, unless you call up the guitarist web page, its on the web site
at a guess i would think the would be almost 2 hours, when i did my interview, they filmed for over i hour, and they were going to add the live gig,in the evening + the dvd recorded at the Bridge in 1982 which is almost a hour. They can and will edit a lot of it out,so we will have to wait and see.

The Quarry Tape The Quarry Tape The Quarry Tape.............

The Voice The Voice The Voice...........

A 2 minute & 32 second Snip Cut of Memories.............

On this cut I have lost a bit of quality in the conversion from WAV to MP3 but I've got all of tracks recorded as a high bit rate WAV's on file.

Enjoy and remember the Good Old Days.............

Sounds good Colin, that was never in there set was it,more of a ballard, than Rock, as we remember R.D.B.
great singer David was then and still is today.
I told you i spoke to Dennis and Dave about this demo, and they want to hear it,if it is okay then we can release it.We are in the Studio soon, remastering all the single collection plus bonuses, got some great bonuses,of stuff we never released. So i will take this tape and match it up with the others, your mix or mine,it up to you.we need it soon.
Regards

Hi,

I've just found this site and forum. I've been checking the WWW once in while to try to find any RDB recordings - must be some sort of mid-life crisis. I used to get to loads of  RDB gigs - certainly every one at the Bridge. I remember the recording of Week at the Bridge and I'm in a few of the pictures on the cover. At the time (and this is going to sound very sad) me and a couple of mates (hi there Bob/Denis) had a sort of an RDB tribute band - we used to stand at the front every week and cop all the chords and then go and practice in a back room. Even now I can still play (and remember the words to) a fair chunk of their set. Start with Man Of Means then straight into In the Country and maybe China Grove or On My Way or Southern Man. The the slow blues Railway Station then maybe Sequence (remember that one - great song). They also did JJ Cales Magnolia and even Loraine Ellison's Stay with me Baby. Anyway you get the picture - I increasingly forget my own name but I can play the riff to On My Way no problem. So put me out of my misery and get some of this stuff released ! What about the live album that Jonathan King recorded at the Marquee (I was there too) - someone must have the tapes. If all else fails I have a tape of me, Bob and Denis playing an RDB set in the back room of a semi in Catford and you're very welcome to it!

Cheers
