Happy new year for you all. I haven't got the news here for a while, but I'm pleased to know there is a new version of the Bridge House running. Let there be rock! Congratulations!

Hi Lira

Sorry to hear that you could not find the venue.  It is located on the top of an mot and service centre called Bidder Street Motors.

Today (Wednesday) we have a large banner going up outside as well as two flag poles with flags which should hopefully make things more visible.  Also (time permitting) we will be placing large boards all over the place from the station to the venue, and from the roundabout directing cars via Manor Road.

Really looking forward to Thursday night it should be a cracker.

Thanks for the response Little T. I wasn't refeering to the venue but to the BH2 site  Wink  As a webmaster I like to take note on the structure of a site, but sometimes I talk too much and I was not there when they started it. So...

Well I would give my life to live in UK and be part of the scene, but I live far far away from you (Brasil) and I'm limited to watch this space and help whenever I can.

Besides, I'm looking forward to build an Iron Maiden site. Bridgehouse forum helped me too much with informations and if anyone have interest in tell me some early facts (70's) I will be glad to hear from you.

God bless

Just like to say that the official opening night of BH2 was fantastic. RDB were, as always, brilliant. Seeing Dave and Dennis playing all those RDB favourites was great.
Keep an eye out for a band called 'Nately' who are due to be playing BH2 towards the end of Feb. If you get a chance to see them make sure you do. Check them out on nately.net there is plenty of material on there to listen to.
Best wishes to all

Col.

I had a chat with Dennis yesterday and it was agreed that RDB will play at the venue once per month.  The first date is Thursday 14th Feb, and then every first Thursday of the month each month.

I also spoke with Joan ov Arc's management and have agreed something similar in principle.  Hopefully this will be finalised over the coming days.

Finally.  Thank you to all for coming along to the opening and making it a very special night.  I have heard the same thing said to me many times since Thursday "what a great crowd".  Hopefully we will have many opportunties to share each others company again.

Regards to all.

Had a great night at the grand opening of BH2 on Thursday.

A great little venue, good atmosphere and the crowd were great. A real reminder of the old Bridgehouse days.

The venue is small but intimate, reminds me a bit of the old stage at the Bridge where the bar was close to the stage.

JoanofArc were a great support act and RDB were as polished as ever.

Good to see everyone down there, hope to bump into you all again on other nights.

Below are a few of the pics taken on that night.
Good luck to the two Tony's who run the venue.
