Just back from a day with Rocco. We drank too much, played guitars, drove around west london in a convertible Rolls Royce Corniche, visited various police stations!, were accosted by members of the public (dont make a TV series) and had a real good time. 25 years just melted away. Dont think there will be a W/Y reunion but why not a Dead Flowers one? Same people, no pressure! Watch this space. Lee.

Hello Terry, My memory of the Dead Flowers is not as good as it should be but they didnt play much and it was always Darren and Martin (Jolliffe's) band. I was already in the Corvettes but as Martin, Darren and myself were like the three musketeers I would help out when and where I could. Martin had the look, the confidence and the front but sadly had no musical talent at all! This never held him back as he was gonna be famous or die trying. Thier first gig was supporting us at the Hartley Centre in East Ham. I think John (Tickets) McGeady was on guitar, Darren on bass, it could have been Trigger (Erazerhead) on drums and Martin Jol on vocals. Whenever Jol was on stage it was my job to stand directly in front of him in the crowd and count him in, lip synch the lyrics etc. It was painfull but it was the only way for him to be able to stay in time with the others. If anyone heckled he would want to go and sort em out! Then the Tickets and the Corvettes split and there was, all of a sudden a few more punk musicians with nothing to do and the Flowers looked like the way to go. Ken was up for it, so was I. The last gig at the Bridge before W/Y started is a bit blurry as it must have been a major session! I cant remember who we played with but I think it was a kind of open stage night with all of us getting up at one point to do a few numbers. I was waylayed somehow and didnt come down the front when they went on and this would have caused Jol major problems. I guess heckling would have followed and knowing Jol there was only so much he could take before jumping off stage and having it! I remember getting up and doing a few songs with Ken on guitar and Darren on bass. Im sure Trigger was still on the drums. Andy Scott or Jeff Wilmott may well have had a turn on the drums too. Terry thinks that he has a tape of the night laying around somewhere. We will have to dig it out and see just how good/bad we really were! Lee.

Hello Terry, I have been in the studio with Jeff Ellis and we have recorded six of my old unused songs. Everyone seems to like the songs so that cant be bad. I met up with Micky (Cockney Rejects) Geggus today as he wanted to hear the songs. He has volunteered to add some lead guitar if required and he thinks a gig at the BH2 is on the cards. Unpretentious, good time rock and roll is how he described it. I am getting the old bug and excitement coming back, and even if its only one gig may well give the stuff an outing. If its original, new music its not really a reunion is it? Lee.

Hi Lee yes i was round Jeffs last week, and i twisted his arm,and he let me listen to about 50 seconds of your new recordings, sounded really good .i have only heard the one song but you must release them.Jeff has formed his own label,so you got me as a reference if you need it,and the publishing ?ha ha,. well a re-union is of people not the printed word, if it going to be new songs with diferent musicians then its a first gig a new band, gets complicated the more we look into it,why not something simple like A bridge house re-union of old friends and new songs,Then the punters will be screaming out for the old songs,so it would be a great night. Play for fun, wear a german helmet.cannot remember that, and Rita said.she respected people who did there own thing,or she would have throw you out at once T.M

Hello Terry, I imagine something happening in a few months time but exactly who and when is not clear yet. I suppose to play a few golden oldies wouldnt be a bad idea. To us lot the Bridge House was somewhere to go and get drunk and have a good time doing it. To Rita it was a family home and somewhere to bring up the children and grandchildren. Thats what I meant when I said that she was pleased when the stage was moved. The last thing anyone wants is strangers wandering around thier house. Lee.

It must be a year since Mick left us. I didnt know about Nicks brother Johns tragic news. Its a cruel world. Regarding the rest of the band, Andy is still with Elaine, Ken has a little boy called Iggy who must be two and a half now. Darren has three lovely children and Rocco has just had twin boys! Lee.

Hello Terry, Darren took my Joe to Brussels for a bit of work in the British embassy. Joe said it was an experience! I am waiting for him to call me again. Rocco has not made the final decision yet but tell Rita that they could be called, Rocco jnr and Caesar. Its an Italian tradition to name the first son after the father and as Roccos wife is Italian too, its looking that way at the moment. Hope to see you soon, Lee.
