Roy Weard started Last Post after being in Dogwatch and the band played regularly at the Bridge. This is their only album and was originally released on vinyl in 1981. The album was recorded at Elephant Studios and features Steve Bensusan on guitar, Ronnie Raymond on Bass, Paul Watson on keyboards, Dave Owen on guitar & flute, Mel Evans on drums & percussion and of course Roy on vocals.
There are four bonus tracks, Triangle and Monopoly which were released as a single by Parasol Records in 1982 and Insufficient Data & The Machine Stops which were originally intended to be part of the next album. John Trelawney (of Dogwatch fame) played trumpet on Monopoly and The Machine Stops, Apart from the new tracks we have also completely revamped the sleeve design with a fold out lyric sheet and pictures of the band from back then
